The importance of orthodontics in diagnosis and treatment

AIM

The aim of this course is to provide dental practitioners with the means to perform an appropriate diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) in light of the most recent pathophysiological evidence and related diagnostic criteria (CDR/TMD). State-of-the-art guidelines on TMD treatment will also be explained.  

CONTENT

Those participating in the course will be supervised during practical activities aimed at improving everyday clinical practice in the field of TMDs.

Within the sector of sleep medicine, snoring and OSA are conditions which can be diagnosed and treated by dentists and, in particular, orthodontists. 

The course will provide guidelines for appropriate diagnosis and treatment by means of orthopaedic devices for mandibular advancement.
