Katia Icardi

Katia Icardi graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (with honours and recommendation for publication of the thesis) at the University of Turin in 2000 and completed a Specialisation Course in Orthodontics (with honours and recommendation for publication of the thesis) at the same university in 2003. 
She worked as Untenured Professor lecturing in Orthodontics and Gnathology (Masticatory Function) at the University of Turin in academic year 2003/2004, then she became a freelance practitioner. 
She is the co-author of several papers published in national and international scientific journals. 
She was awarded a certificate of merit from the Italian Association of Dentistry Professors (Collegio dei Docenti di Odontoiatria) for a research project concerning the reproducibility of EMG data from masticatory muscles. 
She is a member of the Italian Society of Orthodontics and of the Italian Dental Association (Associazione Italiana Odontoiatri - AIO).

She has taken part in national and international professional update courses and conventions, among which theoretical-practical courses about orthodontics, periodontology, and prostheses.
